I know several other already responded to this... but, just to add to it...
The manufacturer either gave you a complete recovery disk, which when
installed will return the system to EXACTLY the way it was when you received
it from them, or they gave you an actual Windows setup CD. In some
instances, people have gotten a recovery CD that restores to the way you
received the computer, minus the extra apps you ordered. In that case, you'd
probably have setup CD's for the additional programs. And, in some cases, as
I've just heard here for the first time, you would get the additional apps
by logging into the company's site and downloading the setup apps.
If you have a recovery CD, sometimes its possible to go into the CD's
directory and run the Windows setup separately. It all boils down to what
exactly you have. Easiest way to find out if you're unfamiliar with what the
directory structure would look like would be to call the manufacturer and
ask them. Tell them you want to reinstall Windows from scratch, NOT a full
recovery of the system as it was when you received it.
If you're into a little research, you can try restarting the computer with
the CD in the drive, and see if it starts the setup, and see if the setup
mentions that it will reinstall Windows or a full recovery.
