I didn't see any comments about backweb on this link Bill... it was listed,
but no comments.

cristy - logitech does bundle in backweb with it's drivers...

this link asks why it would be necessary to include an application that
checks the web continuously for driver updates for a mouse...  if it were my
machine, I would install my mouse drivers and get rid of backweb... I
sincerely doubt that a driver will stop working without the desktop manager
functioning.
