Yes that's the problem I  am having.


and  no is isn't checked.
From what I understand on the Microsoft website, it has something to do with

Active Desktop.
Once you activate Active Desktop, no telling how you can get the 
transparency to work.
Appreciate your help.
It wouldn't be such a problem having those little annoying boxes, but I use 
'Webshots' wallpaper...
and the scenes are gorgeous!
