I installed SP2 with no problems - lucky I guess. I believe the Windows
Security Center came up during or after the install stating the status of
Firewall, Automatic Updates, and Virus Protection. It defaults to have XP
firewall on, Automatic Updates On and Virus Protection On. You can click a
Recommendations button under each and Select "I have a program that will
monitor..." box to turn off SP2's firewall and Virus Protector. After the
install you can find the Security Center in the Control Panel. Hope this
helps.

Don't know about the SP2 antivirus as I have it turned off as I am using
Norton

the anti-virus on the service pack2 -
Guess it will have an option like that also.
I can turn off my norton, but that won't be what I want to turn off.

Does anyone know if the sp2 anti-virus is any good?

Usually you can right click the icon in the bottom task bar and it will have
an option to "shutdown anti virus program" or something to that
effect..Smiles Kathy
