Don, I'm tossing all of your questions out the 'Windows' because it's obvious you haven't even tried it yet. heh heh :O) If you use Firefox, there's a RSS reader built right into the browser. IE7 may have something similar since MS is now basing their browser's abilities on trying to keep up with Firefox instead of Netscape. Just subscribe to a single RSS feed and see what happens. You're not going to break anything and most, if not all, of these questions will answer themselves. If you need a test feed, sub to the OCTT feed and you'll get more than an education in how they work (simply because you'll be looking at the same info from two different angles). You can find the sub button in the middle of the page below. //www.freelists.org/list/pctechtalk Peace, Gman "The only dumb questions are the ones we fail to ask" ----- Original Message ----- From: "Don101" <don101@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, July 24, 2008 12:15 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: RSS PRIMER was Newsletter Merger (repost w/new subject) >I went to her website and found this: > > http://www.agoodread.com/rssfeedtutorial.php > > It is a primer for those wanting to set up an RSS feed to reach those > that have a reader, not one for us that want to set up an RSS Reader. > > I imagine downloading and installing the reader (or finding an online > reader) is relatively simple... perhaps akin to setting up an email > client. But how do the feeds get to your reader? Do you "Send and > Receive" like you do with email?
