Cristy, I went to archives (at the bottom of every email here) and in the search box I typed save email and this is one of the 10 answers it gave--matter of fact, this particular reply was directed to you! Thu, 15 Jul 2004 01:59:43 -0400 thats a good idea too..Thanks MIke christy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike" mikebike@xxxxxxxxx To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, July 16, 2004 1:17 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: saving OE email Hi Cristy Set up a new folder in My Documents and call it Email Any time you get an email you want to save highlight the text and right click to choose Copy Open Notepad and Paste the email into the Notepad Click on File Save As give it a name; saving OE email by Mike Click the address bar in the save as window to get to the email folder save the email into that folder repeat for as many email as you wish... There's an easier way than that too, and it saves everything, not just text. Write me at redowl@xxxxxxxxxxxx and I will reply with instructions. It's from instructions Cris gave a long time ago. ~Glo ----- Original Message ----- From: cristy To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, June 26, 2005 8:47 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Outlook Express Six HI, Could anyone redirect me to a former discussion of how to save my opened emails that are in my outlook express six possibly to a CD or in MY DOCUMENTs on my computer, in other words somewhere other than in Outlook Express. I am soon to reformat one of my computers and have lots of emails in my inbox that I do not wish to lose. I recall the discussion before and I do not think I really ever figured out how to do this. I know it was something to do with dbx files or something. I use windows XP Home version.
