Yes it is. It is updated monthly is downloaded and ran as a critical update once a month. If you do the Windows Update routine as you are supposed to it will download and run for you. Do NOT confuse that with the program that Microsoft bought from Giant and renamed Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta. It is also readily available for download or any of a million people will send it to you on request. Do a Google search on either or both and you will find more information than you ever thought possible... which is typical with a Google search. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=%22microsoft+malicious+software+removal+tool%22+&btnG=Search http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=%2B%22Microsoft+Antispyware+beta%22&btnG=Search Don ----- Original Message ----- From: " milady" <kg6ocz@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, April 26, 2005 2:52 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool....free and useful > is that the exact name? > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Dorie Crews" <djcrews@xxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <PCTechTalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Tuesday, April 26, 2005 11:38 AM > Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool....free > and useful > > > I would like to mention the Microsoft® Windows® Malicious > Software Removal Tool to everyone.
