Yes it is.  It is updated monthly is downloaded and ran as a critical update 
once a month.

If you do the Windows Update routine as you are supposed to it will download 
and run for you.

Do NOT confuse that with the program that Microsoft bought from Giant and 
renamed Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta.

It is also readily available for download or any of a million people will 
send it to you on request.

Do a Google search on either or both and you will find more information than 
you ever thought possible... which is typical with a Google search.
