My suggestion....GET FIREFOX. I won't use IE anymore.

I am putting together a list of the sites this happens on.  Your reply got
me thinking - this probably is some kind of nastiness going on like you
suggested.  I also have a recurring problem I've never come across before -
I'll open a window in IE, and nothing will come up, but it won't let me
close it, an error message will come up "This window is busy.  Closing this
window may cause some problems.  Do you want to close it anyway?  OK or
Cancel ".  Clicking OK makes a sound, but doesn't close it.  I've ran
AdAware and Spybot S&D, but I think there might something else going on...
