Hi Al...Im not GMan, but maybe this will help? Take a look in "My Documents"
as per these screenshots:

Sorry I can't help with the permissions. The first version of Vista I installed
asked for permissions all the time. Then I installed a different version and I
rarely got that question.

  Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Gman Vista

I am trying to find the "Liveupdate " file for Norton in my Vista machine. So
far I am not having much luck.
When I open C drive I don't seem to have the same access to user files in
documents section.. Ideas???

I am also often getting a notice that I need permission and to log on as an
administrator. Since I am the only one who uses the computer and set it up I
would think that I would be the administrator. Now when I set it up I did not
use a password.

  Some thoughts would be appreciated.

  Thanks

  al
