Check out backweb's website.  http://www.backweb.com/customers/logitech.cfm

Logitech is just one of their customers.  Lots of big guys there.  I don't 
think it's bad.  I guess you just need to figure what software you have 
installed that is using backweb and tell it you don't want updates.  Or 
else allow them.
