Thanks! I'll be waiting!
My daughter tried something with nero - and it didn't work. It took hours to do
- then popped up and I think she said that it said it was too large.
She went out for the evening - so I made her promise she'd work through
whatever people on pctechtalk suggested with me tomorrow! sometimes younger
minds work these things out easier!

Ok Cris.
Here is a what I have found so far.
First of all I got Nero Vision Express with the purchase of my Lite-On DVD
burner. It WILL supposedly reencode a .avi file into DVD format. I am
currently trying this with a Divx file that is listed as a .avi file Divx
files are a video file that is far smaller than DVD format. You can put a
full Divx movie onto a CDR disc. The DVD player I sent you the link for WILL
play Divx movies. I am not sure at this time if .avi and Divx are one and
the same however.
You could go to www.divx.com and check out what they say about .avi files
compared to Divx if you want.
I will let you know in about 5 hrs if the reencoding works on this
particular movie.
Scott.
