Gman! Apart from the delightful wind-up which Don and I (and I think, you) enjoyed, I have held off replying to you in sheer embarrassment (as you know I'm a sensitive lad) I have been quietly restoring (via Acronis) some of those backups which I made BEFORE installing my new internal Hard Drive AND doing a complete system reinstall. But various things have occurred; of which the principal is:- whilst I am typing, the cursor (arrow) will jump to the top of the screen with each keystroke. At other times it stays up there and I have to bring it down; at others it will dance along the ceiling, then drift slowly down the screen and sometimes jump to the bottom left corner and perform a pas de deux, glissade or plie (and refusse to stop). I have to tap robustly (or lick my finger and whizz it round and round) on the touchpad to knock some sense into it. After you have basked awhile in your schadenfreude, could you possibly give me some helpful advice ...please?? Roger W.
