Hi Scott, I found a batch file that is supposed use ansi.sys to make the dos screen blue with white lettering. I followed all the instructions to the letter. It works in a dos window from windows but not in dos itself. The cls command clears the screen alright-- a still white screen. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott McNay" <Wizard@xxxxxxxx> To: "GCox" <pchelpers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, July 14, 2003 9:30 PM Subject: [pchelpers] Re: White screen in dos Hi George, Tuesday, July 15, 2003, 2:30:21 AM, you wrote: G> I remember not long ago someone asked about changing the colors of the dos G> screen. Anyone remember what I'm talking about? Yes, that's done with ANSI commands, and you must have DEVICE=ANSI.SYS in the C:\CONFIG.SYS file in order for this to work. If you have something like that in the file, put a REM (with a trailing space) at the front of that line, so that it looks something like REM DEVICE=ANSI.SYS. --Scott.
