 Microsoft Essentials goes with Windows 7 you get the updates from windows
update... It has a quick scan if you want it... and is much faster-- I will
point something out... Its better to have a virus and Trojan  etc free clean
machine than worry  about that-- as long as it is maintaining your security
level ...and keeping your computer from harm. You can download Microsoft
Essentials here  and it free.. I have it on  2 laptops and 3 computers
