I seen that page before. It was when I was looking
for a friend and I found a link that said free search.
When it couldn't find them it ask if I wanted an advance
search, and that page came up. I don't blame you about
the card #. I didn't go any further ether.

It was not software, it was a service to find a "missing" person.

PC, the url below was in an email that was touting a place to find people.
I linked to the URL without "pplsearch/index.html" and found the .com and to
  the
left is a credit reporting agency. I tried a "reply to sender" from the
email solicitation, but it bounced. They ask for all the information you
might have on who you are looking for, then they ask of you everything,
  almost, but your DNA.

I am really protective of the three digit code on the back of my credit
  card, much less my SS#.

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
