Since I do not have AVG at this time, I am at a loss to give you correct instruction. I hope that Re-Na will reply here. When I did have AVG, there were two ways to access the program. Through one route I could simply click on "Update" to check for updates and through one route I could not do this. Is there an icon in your system tray (lower right corner of the screen)? I'm sorry that I laughed when I read that you had tried to update and it said to do it manually, however, if you manually tried to update then what else would it want you to do?
