It takes about 1 hour for 100 people to look through one scope. With 2000 people it takes 10 scopes over a 2 hour period to let everyone see just one object. If we want people to see 2 objects then we need 20 scopes if the event lasts 2 hours, or 10 scopes if the event lasts 4 hours. But most people don't want to spend that much time standing in line to just see 2 objects. I just don't see it working with 2000 people. I am willing to do it. -----Original Message----- From: AT <atuk@xxxxxxx> To: pasmembers <pasmembers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tue, Jul 23, 2013 6:17 pm Subject: [pasmembers] Re: star party South - need to know if we should take it or decline it Greetings, I will pass on the event because of the distance. She was at Orangewood School but has moved South to a school that is just below I-10 and West of I-17. The address is : 3843 W Roosevelt St Phoenix, Arizona 85009 the school is Alta E. Butler Elementary What I want to know is, do we have anyone interested in doing this school event ($25/scope + food & drink), or do we know something about this school that would limit our availability.. such as mostly Spanish speaking people, in which case I would will ask the school for a translator to be at the event for us, or maybe too low of an income area, that they may not be careful with our equipment. Any input? Should I book it? And can you do it on Friday Nov 15? Orange wood also asked us to return on Thursday Nov 14. I will get that one set up as they took good care of us last year. I"d love to do that one again. And right now, we have a MOM"s on that date, but we can cancel / move that MOM to another day if needed. Nov 14. So, for this email, just let me know if you can do this event on the 15th and if you are willing to. I realize it is quite a drive down just below I-10. If 2 scopes say they can do it, I will book it, otherwise I will find an excuse not to do it. Let me know your input on this, before I make it happen. I will give you until Friday to respond. Noon Friday is the deadline. Thanks for your input. Have a super day! Terri, Event Coordinator for PAS Good friends are like stars. You don't always see them, but you always know they are there.
