Yes, howard, once we have it organized and the start and end time picked,
we will definitely want to put the Lunar Eclipse of Sept 27 on meet up.
Thank you.

Point of information: the scifest.org website says the Flagstaff
Festival of Science is from September 18th through the 27th this year,
overlapping with the lunar eclipse.

Sam,
Thankyou for helping me update the calendar.

Changes have been made.

Now the question is, where do we hold a public viewing of this awesome
event?
Any suggestions?
Make it someplace the public will want to go, like within Phoenix,
and with a good Eastern horizon view.

PAS Members? Give me your input.

Our PAS website calendar says the lunar eclipse is September 28th. That
needs to be changed to September 27th . Take care, Sam

Subject: [pasmembers] Lunar Eclipse

Lunar eclipse, September 27th 2015:

Begin: 6:15pm 15 just below the horizon
(89 degrees)

Total: 7:47 18 degrees above the eastern
horizon

End: 9:27 37 degrees above the eastern horizon

These are all
local times and I’m pretty sure they are correct. The implication is that a
clear view of the eastern horizon will be necessary to see the lunar
eclipse as
it approaches and enters totality.
