Good morning PAS Members,

It's an awesome Wednesday!
The weather looks like it will be decent for the July 3 party at Mike's
house that HAS a Star Party!

Please take a moment to RSVP your attendance. I need this info to plan the
parking. I will be leading the parking, so please park where asked to,
unless you see some better situation for parking, then tell me what you
have in mind. I'm open for suggestions on how to fit more cars into the
available parking space in front of Mike's house.

We need more Main dishes,
and we could use some sides
Remember, bring what you can eat as a meal, for the biggest meal of the day
for you, plus one extra person worth, so we can share and everyone can try
it all.
And we need drinks brought too - a 6 pack of non alcohol, or a 2 liter
bottle is perfect to share.
Looking at Perfect Potluck, I can see we can't have a full meal with just
ice cream and Shredded Pork on buns. Please, pop into the above Perfect
Potluck link and enter the food you are bringing to this party. Try not to
duplicate foods. Bring something to enhance the meal, please.

Plus there will be a birthday party, and Sam is bringing the ice cream.

And we need everyone to bring a box, it can be 4 or 6 or more in a box, of
Popsicles or other individually wrapped ice treats for during the
fireworks. Please list this item in perfect potluck so we know we have
enough to share.

While we wait for it to get dark, we will first have a mini presenation on
the 2017 Solar Eclipse Trip - an update, and then we can vote on and watch
a movie until about 8:45 when we should grab the coolers and chairs and go
out to see the fireworks and enjoy the view with the Popsicles.

After the fireworks, we will judge the sky and possibly set up telescopes,
or watch more movies.

I wish to thank Mike for hosting this event. And please remember to donate
$1/attendees or more to Mike for having this great party. We need to help
Mike with purchasing stuff for the next great party at his home.

Aug 21 Bookmans Telescope Workshop 3:30 to 5;3-pm
Aug 27 Public Lecture at Mike's with 5pm potluck and 7pm lecture "Upcoming
Astronomical Disasters"

Attached file has parking at Mike's house.
Green is where eveyrone without a telescope parks.
Blue is where you park if you Have a scope and are setting it up.
Purple is the observing area. Please, no vehicles[image: Inline image 1] in
this area at all.

Also attached are directions to Mike's home for those of you who haven't
been there previously. Please note, your GPS will take you to the stop sign
at the top of the hill. From there, you make a left onto Golden Spur Lane,
and the first possible right, at the wooden sign that reads "Cow Track
Ranch" is where you pull into Mike's driveway. See map I attached.
