Sorry Leah. I was making light of the fact that we were completely overcast.
That seems to have changed!

ok, something practical. there are places within an hour's drive of Phoenix,
too - I have a list - but they are isolated locations where it is dangerous
for a person to be alone. watching a meteor shower doesn't require *really*
dark skies. of course a person will see more meteors if the sky is darker,
but you can see them as long as the sky is not overly light polluted. so if
there is a safe, not-overly-light-polluted location that is an easy drive, I
can tell him about it.

does anyone have suggestions for Cliff, a tourist who wants to watch for

Hi -
I will be staying at the Arizona Biltmore this weekend and short of
sneaking onto their golf course at night, I'd like a recommendation on
somewhere not too far outside the city where I could go to watch the show.
Any thoughts?
Thank you!
