Christmas… we’ve just decided half an hour ago there will be pancakes for
breakfast. 🙂
Then a picnic lunch, probably just a simple chicken salad or something,
somewhere on the drive to the Blue Mountains. (Where we are at lunch time
depends what time we leave.)
Then today I saw this recipe:
https://www.aldi.com.au/en/groceries/recipes/main-meals-recipes/orange-cranberry-roast-chicken-recipe/
And now I’m thinking, well if I prepare veg and whatever before we leave, I
could plonk that in the oven and we could have it for dinner…
Not sure I will though. I need to be realistic about how willing I will be to
cook a big meal after a longish day!
What are your plans?
Vicki. :-)

Hi Susan,
I never need to worry about yards because I don’t cook with them. 😂
Also, a pound is around 450 g so whenever I see it (usually in relation to
the protein in the dish) I just round up to 500 g.

Hi Kelly,
If it helps - a metre is about 39 inches - which is a yard plus 10%.
(the 10% makes it much faster for quick calculations).
An ounce is slightly less than 30g, and I use a multiplier of 30
for quick conversions when using American recipes.
And for liquids, 1 litre is slightly more than 2 pints, or slightly more
than 4 cups?
But I can imagine that ambient temperature would be difficult to convert in
your mind
after more than 50 years of memory of what 50F is.
