(the 10% makes it much faster for quick calculations).
An ounce is slightly less than 30g, and I use a multiplier of 30
for quick conversions when using American recipes.
And for liquids, 1 litre is slightly more than 2 pints, or slightly more
than 4 cups?
But I can imagine that ambient temperature would be difficult to convert
in your mind
after more than 50 years of memory of what 50F is.
