Am so happy for you and Dohn deciding to go to the Blue Mountains.  The break 
away will do you the world of good.

 

I honestly haven’t a clue about Zoom so am no help there.  Had our “computer 
p/tv guy” around the other day to set us up with Zoom so Geoffrey and I could 
chat while I am/ was? In Spain and he just said use Skype, it is the same 
thing.  That is far as we got.  Talk about confused.com🤔😩. It really would be 
nice to see each other,  As may not be possible are any of you on WhatsApp?  
Could at least try to get in touch, especially to those alone, I.e. Kelly and 
Estela.

 

Loving your cactus lights too Steve.  Here is where I went for a coffee in our 
village, dark, and only 4 pm.

Day, but are still flexible and can definitely drop into a Zoom call briefly

While the removal of the Zoom free time limit is great, it’s not like we can

I’m working right up to tomorrow (Christmas Eve) too, though I hope to finish 
at lunch time then hit the shops and battle the madding crowds for what we need 
to take away. So if someone else wants to sort this out please do! 

 

Otherwise I’ll probably just resort to putting a table in an email and people 
can add themselves and hit reply. Not ideal, but I don’t have time to set up 
anything better at the moment.

 

Your house looks awesome, Steve! Love the cactus lights haha!

It says you have the most amount of success in such meetings when people have 
something to DO rather than just stare at each other on the screen. I guess 
such a meeting does have the potential to be awkward. It’s not like those of us 
spending Christmas alone can even sit down together virtually to our Christmas 
meal given the massive time zone differences. 

 

And because you get a maximum of 40 mins free on Zoom before having to initiate 
a new call, so it’s not like a ‘room’ where people can drop in and out of at 
will, it honestly might be better to just arrange to catch up by Zoom 
individually at mutually suitable times.

 

What are everyone’s thoughts?
