For what it's worth, I got this from ZOOM:
To ensure everyone has a way to celebrate the holidays, we will be lifting
the 40-minute time limit for group meetings starting:
- 10 a.m. ET Wednesday, Dec. 23, to 6 a.m. ET Saturday, Dec. 26
- 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 30, to 6 a.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 2
So this remains a possibility if anyone is keen.

It says you have the most amount of success in such meetings when people
have something to DO rather than just stare at each other on the screen. I
guess such a meeting does have the potential to be awkward. It’s not like
those of us spending Christmas alone can even sit down together virtually
to our Christmas meal given the massive time zone differences.
And because you get a maximum of 40 mins free on Zoom before having to
initiate a new call, so it’s not like a ‘room’ where people can drop in and
out of at will, it honestly might be better to just arrange to catch up by
Zoom individually at mutually suitable times.
What are everyone’s thoughts?
