Hi Kerry, it was good having a proper size hive of the bees again. I missed
them when there were only a few in the hive struggling. I put the experience as
a steep learning curb on being a new beek.
I am still debating on another tbh, golden or Ware.

Yes, I walked them in late last night after 7pm, they seemed to know the
drill. Majority walked in without lingering by 9.30pm the last 30 wanted to
stay on the entrance, there will always a few naughty ones. I brushed them in
with a goose feather and replaced the landing board.
I find them taking orientation flight this morning. I hope they like the hive
and decide to stay. Time will tell.
As ever thanks again for the timely advice Ann and Paul on this. I would also
like to add that by reading all the comments Q&As during the passed months has
helped a lot including the jokes.

I would definitely hive them tonight for the reasons Ann gives,as long as they
have had a couple of hours to settle. If they are calm they should walk
straight in. The reason for delaying sometimes is that they get shaken and
agitated by the drive.
The weather tomorrow changing to colder and wetter, will be a huge incentive
for them to stay in the hive! I would not worry about absconding if you hive
them gently.

over the swarm most of them walk in by themselves except quite a lot were
reluctant to depart from the warm dark ground. I scoped them up by hand and
