I'm going to consolidate all this and the one long message. I really don't feel
like changing the subject and it will be a pain anyway. But first off I would
like to say John I hope you get your open drive thing resolved. That would be a
good thing. Second I want to the amateur radio meeting tonight and they were
doing all these digital modes with FL did you and stuff like that which blind
people can't use. I don't understand why the developers of these programs
aren't even making any effort to make this stuff work with our screen readers.
It's just totally insane. I mean it's really crazy. I mean it should work with
our stuff but no way. Anyway I want to do packet on the iPhone and from what
the gentleman said tonight it's not possible because he said the office visual
know why the hell can't these developers do the stuff right? Sorry I'm going on
a rant but man this is ridiculous. Honestly it really is. It seems like some of
these places want to leave the blind out. On another note I got to meet a
retired person that works as a fire dispatcher. I'm not him tonight at the
meeting he said he had to dispatch during 911. Well of course you know me I
opened up my big mouth and said is there anyway that you can get me a tour of
the fire dispatch center? He said he couldn't promise that he would try. Well
he gave me a business card right at this point I can't read it. So it's just
staying in my purse until I get somebody to read me the thing or help me put
his contact information in my iPhone because of course the card is in print.
But anyway the guy that owns the company where we need it is definitely an
Apple person. Anyway this other guy wants this guy named Craig to come over and
help me set up my Apple computer. Well of course I said invite so I said no and
Rob said no he didn't think he would. But anyway if I can get Apple computer
set up and of course it has snowed I forgot it like Marty's does then I'll have
to learn how to use it. I don't know how long it'll take me but I'll sure work
on it. So I guess most of the meeting I just kind of sat there and listen to
what they were talking about. Anyway the sky this a retired fire dispatcher is
a magician. Of course that's kind a visual I mean he was showing people magic
tricks and stuff like that. And he asked me if I wanted to send a card to take
home and I said well no it really wouldn't help me any and he said he
understood. But I do have his contact information so that'll be cool. If you
can get me that tour I really like it. The other thing I forgot to ask the guy
that owns the company where we need out is how do we get out of the building in
case of an emergency? That's something I kind of need to know especially if
there some reason we need to leave. But anyway the jackhammer people didn't
come yet today and that's a good thing. They just rolled in hammered. Oh boy
and that was still kind of loud but I can always deal with it. But anyway I'm
going to call the library and order some books. Honestly I really am. But hey
what can you do. Anyway I don't know if I'm going to take my test next month I
might. But we'll just have to see. Other than that things are OK but I was just
kind of frustrated with the fact that some of the stuff that side of him
operator shoes are not accessible and sorry for the rant but man I think we
should be treated equal equally. And also there was a guess you were the next
friend of mine that came up tonight. Oh well. Anyway I have decided to end the
friendship with Todd and I'm not even going to tell him. Because of what he did
to my friend Charles. I'm not too happy about it and I'm not gonna talk about
it either. Because I think what he did wasn't right just suffice it to say that
Todd fired Charles is the control for the traffic now and I don't think he had
any reason to do that other than just being greedy and selfish.
