Vickie:
Have you tried NVDA, that's N V D A? It doesn't do every little thing JAWS
does, but it's very close, and sometimes I use it for a back-up screen
reader, almost always with success. It's free, as you may already know. I
highly recommend it, and you may even want to use it in place of Window
Eyes. (Glad you don't have a Mac) (Smile)!

Hmmm. I did try while it was off line, and it wouldn’t show me anything
while in the apps key or right click. Just the sys tray. I guess I might
have did something wrong, there, so that’s why I opened it from the system
tray and logged in. Then went back to the system tray to do the right
click, apps key. I use window eyes and not a late version of window eyes.
So, I might have seen something different if I had used the latest
version. Anyway, I got my answer, and that’s how it worked for me.

Ok, even if you are "logged into open drive," the software you update is
in your computer so it does not matter if open drive is open or not. :)
If you close it from the tray, however, then you will have to re-boot to
run it, or run the software from where it is installed in your machine.
That is a lot more complex than necessary. :)
Usually you'll get a prompt when it is necessary to update the software.
all you need to do is then find it in the tray as I've outlined earlier,
and go from there.

up to date. So, I’m OK. Now maybe this will help others do it who think
they can’t. After login, it showed me the folders and when I pressed the
app key, it just gave me things like new, copy, etc. but when I just had
the open drive in my focus, inside the system tray, it worked. Hope this
helps John, Linda, and others who can’t seem to get it done.

hold on guys, it is easy! Find open drive in your system tray, jfw
that'd be insert f11, window-eyes, insert S like system, :) and find
open drive.
press enter which clicks the right mouse button .
If you can't get your screen reader to the system tray, hit windows B as
in boy, and arrow to open drive, press context key, or shift-f10, and
get the options you need.in time.
The one you want is "about." press enter and tab to "check for updates."

Hi all, does anyone have the latest installer for Open Drive? I got a
pop up baloon when I restarted my computer that said to click to update
Open Drive, but I couldn't get to it. I can't seem to find any other
Ito update my current version. I suppose I could uninstall it and
reinstall the version and see if it gives me the option to update, but
line; dofigure the new installer would be easier! Besides, I'm lazy! GRIN!
Thanks in advance:
