If I'm reading this correctly, your primary swap is 2GB. The problem with dmesg is that it won't show you secondary swaps installed (at least I don't think it does -- it doesn't on our HPUX box, either). Try posting the output of "swapinfo". If it's only 2GB on a system with 6GB phys RAM, that's your problem. Absolute minimum should probably be 6GB total swap. Nice LAN setup, BTW. :) Rich Rich Jesse System/Database Administrator rich.jesse@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx QuadTech, Sussex, WI USA > -----Original Message----- > From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Friday, April 16, 2004 1:46 PM > To: 'oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' > Subject: RE: hp help... > > > flounder:/=>dmesg > > Logical volume 64, 0x3 configured as ROOT > Logical volume 64, 0x2 configured as SWAP > Logical volume 64, 0x2 configured as DUMP > Swap device table: (start & size given in 512-byte blocks) > entry 0 - major is 64, minor is 0x2; start = 0, size = 4194304 > Dump device table: (start & size given in 1-Kbyte blocks) > entry 0 - major is 31, minor is 0x16000; start = 88928, size = > Memory Information: > physical page size = 4096 bytes, logical page size = 4096 bytes > Physical: 6291456 Kbytes, lockable: 5688328 Kbytes, ---------------------------------------------------------------- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to: oracle-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. -- Archives are at //www.freelists.org/archives/oracle-l/ FAQ is at //www.freelists.org/help/fom-serve/cache/1.html -----------------------------------------------------------------
