I thought if i gave asmadmin to oracle, i 'll be able to connect sysasm with oracle isn't it ?.
Sure. I was asking you to change the group (chown oracle:asmadmin $RDBMS_HOME/bin/oracle, if not already done)
on the RDBMS oracle binary, not to give asmadmin OS group to oracle user. Cheers, Robert
