[root@dbyac43: ~]# id oracle
uid=1101(oracle) gid=1000(oinstall) groups=1201(asmdba),1300(dba),1301(oper),1000(oinstall)
what is the GID of the oracle RDBMS binary? asmadmin? If not change it to asmadmin and try again...
