Guess I wasn't clear. Got a half dozen replies on how to use it in listener .ora I have used QUEUESIZE in listener.ora files a number of times. Before and since you could find it in the doc. What I said was someone stuck it in a tnsnames.ora file and then someone else copied it without checking why. So 1) Does it really have any effect? (in tnsnames.ora) 2) If not is it an error or ignored. They're both in files on the DB server. I just saw this in a new tnsnames.ora file and asked where this came from (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = xxxxxxxx)(PORT = 1521)(QUEUESIZE = 100)) The DBA said they copied it from another tnsnames.ora file we use. Just assumed it should be there. I've never used this except in listener.ora files. I Googled it and either have the wrong search or it's very hard to find. Is this for real? When would you use it? Or is it just ignored?
