Markus,
Ignore the previous message about the select from V$PARAMETER, I miss
read the message.
On the OS level change to the dump location and see if there have been
any symbolic links established that piont to the other location. Perhaps
the sysadmin redirected the files because of space limitations.

Somehow the formatting got a bit messy...

SQL> show parameter user_dump
NAME TYPE VALUE
------------------------------------ -----------
------------------------------
user_dump_dest string
/app/oracle/admin/fusepw03/udump

normally there can be two reasons
firstly giving a dump file destination=20
secondly - hardly dare say - a link?
never experienced that before on a dozen of suns/oracles
