firstly giving a dump file destination=20
secondly - hardly dare say - a link?
never experienced that before on a dozen of suns/oracles

I've got the following paramter set in the database

=20

SQL> show parameter user_dump_NAME TYPE =
    VALUE------------------------------------ ----------- -----------------=
-------------user_dump_dest string /app/oracle/a=
dmin/fusepw03/udump But it's writing the trace files to ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/l=
og Any ideas as to why this is the case. TIA BTW Am also using a spfile. =
