To say there is no correlation between responsibilities and workflow is not
entirely true. Effective functioning of UMX roles and responsibilities do rely
on synchronisation between FND and WF tables.
However the suggestion to remove the end_date on both responsibility and user
is a valid option

There is no relation between workflow and responsibilty missing. Check for
the end date or put an end date.... Save it and renew with no end date.
Else try to add the same responsibilty to the user.

I just changed the end date for the user and the end date for the
responsibility to some date in April 2010, as both expired on 04 Jan
2010. Now when the user logs in he gets the message as
"Sorry, there is no valid responsibility".
I tried by bouncing the Apache, but still the status is same. Then I
tried to investigate and found that there is no record for this user in
the table FND_USER_RESP_GROUPS, but in the other 2 tables
FND_USER_RESP_GROUPS_ALL and FND_USER_RESP_GROUPS_DIRECT the record for
this user is there. So can anyone please tell me if this is the reason
for the error message and if yes what caused it and what is the
solution?
