Yes, hence the autonomymous Optacon III module with its dedicated camera.
I'm not sure how the ergonomics would work out fitting into an already
existing systen, but the module approach makes sense.

I agree with those who want a separate device just for reading. If we
combine the Optacon with braille readers etc. there's a good chance
there would be duplication as many of us already have devices to read
braille or listen to printed or computerized material. We would be
spending money for something we already have spent money on.
