What I used to do at work, when I had a bunch of things to sign, was to look at
that notch on the side of the camera and line that up with the signature line
or
gap between the Closing and the Printed Name. I then learned to judge where to
put a paperweight so that my signature guide would be appropriately aligned.

The trick is to line up the print signature line with the line on the
sides of the camera. At least that brings you within striking distance
of that line. Then you have to trade the camera in for the pen. Good luck.

A long time ago, I used the Optacon to sign documents, and it would be good
to do that again, but I've forgotten the trick of it.
I'd like to practice, before I try signing something important.
How have others practiced this skill?
Thanks.
