Could 600 MHz LTE be the backhaul needed for 5G wireless fixed broadband?
Really? So, 31 MHz of LTE, which is barely 11 MHz more than a single,
non-aggregated LTE channel, good for maybe something under 100 Mb/s, is what
Craig calls backhaul for 5G? What the heck, make it an optimized 4X4 MIMO. Is
that adequate backhaul for 5G? Can't even support a single 5G cell.
It makes sense to use that 600 MHz for long range to customer premises in the
boonies, where they are planning to use it. But I wouldn't call that a 5G
service. Mor like, a broadband service that uses what would have been called TV
white spaces, until this last auction.
