CSI is shot on film (35mm), and transferred to high-definition for
delivery to CBS.
Fox's American Idol is "filmed" in Video (F950 - HDCAM SR, VariCam
(Behind the Scenes), and (now) perhaps a bit of HDV I believe I read)
made to look like Video...(my impression).
