More management = more paperwork.
More paperwork = more meetings.
More meetings = more time wasted.
More time wasted = inefficiency.

Agreed as well, which only means that management wouldn't know the proper
metrics if it bit them in the arse, which is what qualifies them to be
management!

The common management fallacy is the belief that increasing the headcount on
a project by a factor of X will multiply the schedule by 1/X. It never
happens that way, and outsourcing only makes the equation even more
nonlinear.
