It is obvious to anyone who reads the article that those opposed to
neutrality are only the current very few companies that provide
broadband service.
More crap.
Everyone supports the principles of Net Neutrality.
Craig's fairy tales again. Here are a couple of actual quotes, as opposed to
Craig's self-soothing attempts:
"Mr. Pai's biggest targets are net neutrality and the classification of
broadband like a utility. He has the broad support of Republican lawmakers and
is expected to introduce a plan that would weaken aspects of the net neutrality
rules as soon as this month. ... Mr. Pai said on Thursday that he wanted to
overturn the declaration of broadband as a utility-like service, which puts
stricter rules on broadband providers, akin to what phone services face today."
Earth to Craig: Phone service today is strictly neutral. MVPD service today is
NOT neutral. Any thought of making broadband service less like telephone
service means that you're giving the special (monopolistic) interests more
leeway to behave like MVPDs, make decisions for you, on what content you can
and cannot get. Follow the money, Craig. Companies worry first about the bottom
line.
The "people" have plenty to be concerned about. Net neutrality is
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY down the list of issues
BECAUSE THE PEOPLE GOT THEIR NEUTRALITY, Craig! This is the same dumb-ass
comment you already tried before. The people screamed holy hell to the FCC, and
got their neutrality mandate. Of course it's not an issue anymore. But it can
easily become an issue again.
