I simply waited to invest in REAL HD when the technology was ready
and the cost was reasonable. I have NO REGRETS about my first HD
capable display investment, despite the fact that it was never used
to watch ANY HD source.
The same is likely to be true for the new set initially. The added
cost for HD programming is still too much for what we can get. We
still have DVDs if we want to fill that big screen with beautiful
pictures. But I expect this to change as well as the competition in
HD receivers and programming heats up.
That being said, I am trying to get that HD STB back to watch the
Sugar Bowl tonight.
