Hi all - I was wondering how you incorporated songs/singing into the OWL classroom. How do you introduce a song? Before I switched to OWL, I would always do a cloze activity with a handout of the lyrics where students would listen to the song and fill in the missing lyrics, we would often translate the song and go over meaning, find cognates, etc... then of course sing it. Now that I am doing OWL, I don't feel like I want to do the cloze activity anymore and definitely not translate. Your thoughts are much appreciated!
