I agree with Tess, the hard-back composition book is really helpful if they are
writing on their lap or on the floor - and it's also better than a spiral
notebook because the pages have less of a tendency to fall out

I got rid of the 3-ring binder this year for handouts and am having them take a
lot more notes and writing down HW assignments and trying to limit how much
paper I give them -

No, I mean in general - notebook or composition book. But also 3-ring binder. I
figured those aren't as good. Thoughts?

Subject: [ola] Composition notebooks

Helloo,

Quick question:
How important is it for students to have a composition book versus a regular
notebook?

Please weigh in if you can help me explain why it's important (or not) for them
to have this.

Thanks!

Heidi
