Weather looks good for the Dec. 21st Christmas Bird Count in the
beautiful Coast Range of Oregon. Don Albright
(donalbright@xxxxxxxxxxxx), coordinator for the Upper Nestucca CBC, can
put you in touch with the sector leader in the sector of your choice.
Enjoy rushing rivers, waterfalls, scenic mountains, lush lowlands... and
birds... not an overwhelming number but enough to keep the adrenalin
flowing, wondering what you might find around the next corner.
(Sometimes that's an elk or deer or bobcat or bear.)
Come together at the end of the day (4 p.m. and onward) for supper at
the Wildwood cafe in Willamina, just a short distance outside the count
circle. Share the highlights and lowlights of your day with everyone
else. (Stories of the day are my favorite part of the count down.)
