I stopped at the Sagehen rest stop west of Burns this afternoon and saw several
Townsend’s Solitaires with A. Robins stopping at a water puddle near one of the
picnic tables. Saw 6 solitaire at one time with about 35 robins, Mountain
Bluebirds and Cedar Waxwings. They were moving among the junipers in rapid
succession that it was hard to get numbers. They were moving down from the
trail too. Best water source in the area. Thanks to a leaky sprinkler. Also
saw over 100 Yellow-rumped Warblers at the Warm Springs Museum parking lot a
little after noon.
