Highlights from the day birding around Florence with Russ Namitz were:
Siltcoos River Estuary was too foggy for a sea watch, but estuary had:
Snowy Plover - 1 unbanded juvenile
Semipalmated Plover - 7
Baird's Sandpiper - 1
Western Sandpiper - 6
Dunlin - 14
Dowitcher sp. - 1
Plus 1 River Otter
TROPICAL KINGBIRD - 1 fly catching at the Stagecoach Trailhead near Waxmyrtle
Campground.
South Jetty Crab Docks:
Marbled Godwit - 3
Black-bellied Plover - 15
Western Sandpiper - 3
Dunlin - 2
Long-billed Dowitcher - 3
Deflation Plain:
LAPLAND LONGSPUR - 15+ with 40+ American Pipits
