Jim Danzenbaker and I arrived in Newport late this afternoon as we are on
tomorrow’s Oregon Pelagic Tour trip to Perpetual Bank.
Before it got dark we dashed out to look for the TROPICAL KINGBIRD that was
found this morning. It had moved along Yaquina Bay Drive to the next road south
and I was able to photograph it in the dying light. Photo can be seen in the
eBird checklist below.
It was in a fir tree top along the shoreline (behind the big blue building with
a white roof) at the base of SE Back Bay Drive and Yaquina Bay Drive.
