I birded Fernhill WL last night from 7:10PM until almost dark. I saw 29 species, but the one Semipalmated Plover in the main front pond was the only notable find (rest pretty common). The front third or more of the main pond adjacent to the parking lot is dry, due to construction in progress. Trails on the dikes around all the ponds are closed. Only the new trail going back to Dabbler's Marsh (and on around and back of Dabblers Marsh) is open. Nels Nelson Hillsboro
