On June 14 two GRAY-HEADED JUNCOES and a male BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER were seen in the Pueblo Mountains south of Fields. A PHAINOPEPLA was photographed June 13 in the Klamath River canyon west of Klamath Falls. On June 12 a BROWN THRASHER was photographed in a LaGrande yard. A bright HOODED ORIOLE was seen during the week at a feeder in Independence. On June 15 a GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE was photographed at Ankeny NWR. RED-EYED VIREOS were reported during the week at the Tualatin Nature Park in Beaverton, at Grand Island south of Salem, and at D Lake State Park in Lincoln City. On June 15 several nesting WILSON¹S PHALAROPES were on the North Spit of Coos Bay. A CATBIRD was photographed June 18 along the nature trail at the Hatfield Science Center on Yaquina Bay. On June 14 a flock of six BANK SWALLOWS were at Rainier. An ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER was reported June 15 near SE 83d and Stark in Portland. Two EASTERN KINGBIRDS were reported June 14 along Marmot Road east of Sandy. Eight BLACK-NECKED STILTS and a nesting AVOCET were at Fern Ridge Reservoir June 14. On June 12 two NIGHTHAWKS were over Eugene. The next day eight were over the Willamette River south of Dayton. That¹s it for this week. - end transcript
