The Mountain Plover that has been at South Beach SP south of Newport for
some time was still there yesterday (Jan. 7) and was very cooperative for
viewing and photographing. It was directly west of the day use parking
area, and visible as soon as I crossed over the dune facing the beach. The
Snowy Plovers were plentiful, too.
